SoBran, Inc. is currently searching for a Business Development Representative. This role will be responsible for generating new business opportunities in the private and public sector for our growing area of logistics related services to include warehousing and mail screening.
Primary responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a range of federal proposal types, including best value, technical proposals, business proposals, task order submissions, qualification packages and oral presentations.
- Work with operations personnel to help assemble federal pursuit teams and develop branded, complaint proposals in the federal marketplace.
- Lead strategic capture efforts throughout the sales lifecycle, including develop customer intimacy, shape opportunities; analyze competitive landscape; messaging and win theme development; support and/or lead solution development; advice regarding strategic teaming partners; schedule development and review; proposal/technical writing and editing; ensure compliance; presentation review and interview support; conduct debriefs; and proposal closeout/updates.
- Identify and qualify opportunities throughout the federal market.
- Conduct competitive assessments for specific opportunities, make recommendations on teaming partners, and help build the federal opportunity pipeline.
- Support execution of federal marketing campaigns, including internal and external communications and federally focused conferences.
- Write supporting sales materials, including project descriptions, resumes, service line overviews, and executive summaries, etc.
- Track and trend quality of individual performance, products and services to strive for continuous improvement in support of the federal team and the company.
- Manage multiple capture efforts simultaneously and stay up to date on industry trends and new products.
Requirements:
- S. or B.S. in a related field, or equivalent experience required.
- Experience of business to business selling experience.
- Experience with government contract proposals and other state/local formats.
- Effective and efficient project management skills, including planning, organization, problem identification and resolution, time and resource management skills.
- Experience in the defense, commercial or government logistics arena with a working knowledge of government FAR and DFAR regulations and processes.
- Experience with Service Contract Act (SCA).
- Experience with the whole government request for proposal (RFP) process
- Government procurement experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and prior experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and proposal efforts.
- Extensive MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel experience
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain access to work sites which require extensive security background checks.
- A willingness to travel and work from alternate locations when needed.
